We spent an amazing day off-roading to a beautiful oasis where we spent the afternoon wading in the lagoon and enjoying the scenery. Birdwatching is also popular, as the area is home to a variety of bird species, including osprey, pelicans, and herons.

Getting to Punta Chivato

From the airport, the journey involves a scenic drive along the Transpeninsular Highway, followed by a turn onto a very long dirt road that leads to the coast. The road can be very, very rugged, be prepared to take it slow and just enjoy the landscape.
